The digital calipers feature a RS232 data transfer port, allowing for seamless data transfer to a PC. However, it is important to note that these calipers cannot be connected to a regular USB cable. Instead, the VINCA DTCR-03 cable (sold separately) must be used.

For customers who require a NIST Traceable Calibration Certificate, the DCLA-0605C, DCLA-0805C, and DCLA-1205C models are available as an option.

The digital calipers come in a range of measuring capacities, from 0-4 inches/100mm to 0-24 inches/600mm. The larger models feature a 13mm x 38mm LCD screen, while the smaller 4-inch model has a 10mm x 30mm screen. All models offer inch/metric/fraction conversion capabilities, with the 6-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch models capable of displaying up to 1/128" fractions.

Accuracy is impressive, ranging from ±0.001"/0.03mm for the 4-inch, 6-inch, and 8-inch models, to ±0.0015"/0.04mm for the 12-inch model, and ±0.0027"/0.07mm for the 24-inch model. The resolution is a consistent 0.0005"/0.01mm, 1/128" across all models.

The package includes the digital caliper, a durable red box, a 1.5V LR44 battery (with a spare), and a user guide. The RS232 data transfer cable is sold separately.

It's important to note that the scale printed on the body/beam of the digital calipers is for decorative purposes only, and the measurements should be read from the digital display. Additionally, the zero line on the printed scale should not line up with the jaw line, but rather the left side of the black plastic vernier cover.

The thumb wheel on the digital calipers is designed to be loose, allowing it to hang on the plastic hook when not in use. This helps to eliminate friction between the body/beam and the wheel, providing better movement.

If the display numbers are blinking or flashing, it's time to replace the battery. Similarly, if the display numbers are jumping erratically, it's likely due to a low battery, and a replacement should be installed.
